M-Track C-Series – M-Audio’s budget audio interfaces
The new M-Track C-Series is a new range of USB audio interfaces from M-Audio which are aimed squarely at the laptop market and those who want to keep their budgets under wraps.
Interestingly the M-Track C-Series includes both regular USB as well as the new USB-C cable which can be found on the new USB-C only Macbook from Apple.
C-Series
The M-Track C-Series consists of two new interfaces, namely the 2X2 and 2X2M.
They are essentially the same unit with the 2x2M sporting two key extra features, namely dual XLR mic inputs and DIN plug midi in and outs. The standard 2×2 has a single XLR combo input and ¼-inch input.
Both M-Track C-Series units are 24-bit/192kHz quality interfaces with 1/4-inch stereo and headphone outputs, and a dedicated knob for blending between USB and direct signals.
Suggested retail on the M-Track 2×2 is R 1,500 (excl. import levies)
And the M-Track 2x2M is expected to retail for around R 1,900 (excl. import levies)
