New M-Audio M-TRACK 8X4M – 8 input / 4 output audio interface
M-Audio have been a mainstay in the audio industry for decades, their new M-Audio M-TRACK 8X4M is perfect for bands.
The new M-Audio M-TRACK 8X4M provides eight audio inputs, four of which are XLR mic /TRS Jack combo inputs and the other four are dual instrument inputs and dual line inputs. This configuration is perfect for small bands, offering plenty of connections for guitars, keyboards and microphones. The interface offers four outputs, a stereo pair of main outputs for monitoring, and 2 assignable auxiliary outputs. Furthermore, the M-Audio M-TRACK 8X4M features dual headphone outputs, each with their own assignment section.
The engineers at M-Audio have developed the all-new Crystal Preamps, which deliver extended dynamic range and clarity than before. The M-Audio M-TRACK 8X4M boasts bit-rates and sample-rates of 24bit/192kHz, features a MIDI input and output connection, making the M-TRACK capable of being connected to almost any other gear in your studio.
The M-Audio M-TRACK 8X4M is super-compact and built into a solid metal chassis, making it capable of withstanding the rigors of touring, and the full VU meters on each channel make it fantastic for quick soundchecks on stage and in studio.
What’s in the box?
The new M-Audio M-TRACK 8X4M comes with a host of software and DAW packages from Pro-Tools First M-Audio Edition to Ableton Live Lite, and a variety of plugins and effects. It comes bundled with USB C and regular USB cables, to connect to any laptop or computer.
The M-Audio M-TRACK 8X4M is incredibly affordable considering the wide array of features, it’s set to retail at USD $299 (Around R 4,300 Excl. duties). That’s just about the only eight input audio interface, with brand pedigree, for even remotely near its price-range. It’s also built into a very small form-factor, it may even be the most compact eight input interface on the market.
