Loopcloud 3.0 update is here – now you can add your own content!
Loopcloud 3.0 update adds a heavily requested feature – the ability to add your own and third-party samples.
The latest update of Loopcloud 3.0 adds the ability to add any sample content to your Loopcloud library, simply drag-and-drop the content into the app and it will automatically analyse the audio and add useful tags. You can further edit the tags and sort the files within your Loopcloud library.
You’re probably wondering why this is such a requested feature in the Loopcloud 3.0 update? Loopcloud is much more than just a browser for finding new sample content, it is an incredibly in-depth and intuitive browser and sample library software with a host of notable features.
Loopcloud allows you to create custom tags and tailor your library using colours or even sorting elements into their respective keys. Loopcloud has an intuitive auditioning system, that allows you to apply looping patterns and key-changes to the content to see if it will fit in the project, if it does you can drag the original or processed material directly into your DAW. The Loopcloud 3.0 update opens up this feature to your entire sample library, not just the Loopmasters content.
How does it compare to built-in DAW browsers?
Loopcloud 3.0 now poses as a much better sample library/media bay than most DAWs will come with, the ability to tailor it to your specific needs and the visual aspects create some awesome workflow capabilities, and the best of all Loopcloud 3.0 is free. You can purchase new Loopmasters sample content from within the app, however the software itself is free.
The Loopcloud 3.0 browser allows you to quickly switch between local and cloud-based content, furthermore you have the ability to create “dynamic-links” between the two platforms, meaning any changes you make will be applied to your content that is stored on the cloud. So, if you travel a lot, and have certain sample banks that you carry with you, this may be a great option for you.
