The Korg Konnect is a portable PA System designed for a wide range of applications, now available in South Africa.

The Korg Konnect is a new compact all-in-one portable PA System for a wide range of applications, from solo musicians to small gigging bands and more. It’s a stereo system in a single box with internal mixer, making it a great solution for portable applications – the fact that everything is contained in a single unit minimizes on setup and configuration time. The Korg Konnect also features a “Scene” feature allowing you to instantly recall settings – further reducing setup time and allowing you to quickly change things between tracks.

The Korg Konnect system has a ton of nifty features from a stereo input for external mixer or other auxiliary input to a Smart Device app offering wireless control of your settings. Channel 3/4 also allows for Bluetooth streaming to the system and has a “Center Cancel” setting which attempts to remove a lead vocal or guitar sound, for those who want to perform over a backtrack. There are several “Voicing” settings allowing you to automatically dial in settings to suit your needs – Vocals, Guitar or Music.

Channels 1 and 2 are selectable mic/line inputs, which feature a nifty internal feedback suppressor and reverb effect with variable parameters to make the most of your vocal or instrument sound. When using the Korg Konnect mobile app, you get access to an additional three types of effects – compressor, chorus and delay. The system puts out a total of 180 Watts peak, which is plenty for small venues and practice environments.

The Korg Konnect is mountable on any 35mm speaker stand, and there is an additional carry bag to protect your system on the road. The retail price is USD $550 (Around R8200 excl. duties), not bad for a complete PA system in a single container.
