Introducing iZotope Dialogue Match – the first of its kind
Introducing iZotope Dialogue Match, the first designated tool for automatically learning and matching the sonic characteristics of dialogue recordings.
Introducing the first-ever tool designed specifically for learning and matching the sonic characteristics of dialogue recordings, iZotope Dialogue Match. Powered by machine learning technology and ground-breaking reverb algorithms from Exponential audio, the new tool from iZotope is an essential tool for post-processing dialogue recordings.
The system is designed for various applications from matching the sonic characteristics of different microphones and matching-up ADR with post-production dialogue to applying similar characteristics to several different localized dialogue recordings.
The plugin uses machine learning to analyse incoming audio and extract a sonic profile, you can then save this profile to recall and apply to any other track. For those postproduction engineers who spend hours upon end matching several dialogues takes with traditional tools, iZotope Dialogue Match will save you a ton of time in the studio.
What’s under the hood…
“Users who have tested Dialogue Match are telling us that it will change the way they approach dialogue editing forever,” said iZotope’s Senior Product Manager, Mike Rozett. “We are very excited to collaborate with Exponential Audio founder Michael Carnes on this product and we’re both convinced that this technology will revolutionize the laborious process of getting continuity in dialogue.”
The plugin leverages the EQ matching mechanics of iZotope’s award-winning Ozone 9 to quickly learn and match tonal characteristics of incoming audio.
The reverb section features a newly developed reverb matching system which captures spatial reflections from one recording to apply them to another, using Exponential Audio’s realistic reverb algorithms. Finally, there is an Ambience Module for analysing and recreating the noise in a signal, now that is going a little far – but accuracy is the key here.
iZotope Dialogue Match is currently only available as an RTAS plugin for ProTools, it’s set to retail at USD $599 (Around R8900). The new plugin will also be available as part of the following bundles:
- Postproduction Surround Reverb Bundle
- RX 7 Advanced Reverb Bundle
- RX Postproduction Suite 4
