IK Multimedia MODO DRUM is a new virtual drum instrument with unmatched versatility, it’s based on physical modelling synthesis.

The new IK Multimedia MODO DRUM combines the incredible accuracy and versatility of physical modelling synthesis to introduce unseen before levels of drum programming.

IK Multimedia MODO DRUM offers incredible customization and real time control over every parameter in your kit – from the size of the drum to the tension and material of the skin.

The plugin comes with 10 factory kits to get you started – Black Oyster, for a vintage 1960s style sound, Plexi, for a hammering 70s Rock sound, Grungy, for alternative music, Rock Custom, with a focus on punch and articulation, Extreme, the vintage Metal weapon, Djentleman, for a modern metal sound, Jazzy, Studio, Reference and Bubinga.

IK Multimedia MODO DRUM allows you to customize your own kits by swapping any element for a different one from any of the other built-in kits, or create your own entirely from scratch. Each of the drums has incredibly deep level of accuracy and flexibility, giving you access to change the head-type, tuning and damping. You also have control over the shell-type, diameter and height and snare-type, tension and resonance.

A built-in drummer?

The MODO DRUM includes three different cymbal sets, each one includes a hi hat, two crashes, a ride, a china and a splash and some traditional percussion instruments. Each one can be customized for ultimate flexibility.

It  has a built-in drummer, and it allows you to customize your drummers play-style in real-time, you have control over the type of stick and kick-drum beater and various other unique parameters. The plugin employs round-robin techniques to maintain an incredibly realistic articulation with repetitive drum strikes.

To top it all off, MODO DRUM has an internal mixer with several effects powered by IK Multimedia’s sought-after T-Racks range.

It’s capable of sending multiple outs to your DAW alongside aux channels for ultimate mixing flexibility either inside the plugin or your DAW.
