IDM Mag launches a Producer DJ Forum on Facebook
We are very excited to announce the IDM Mag Producer DJ Forum which has been launched on Facebook.
Since the days of BPM Magazine, one of my main objectives has always been to nurture and develop the South African electronic music scene.
Now, with IDM Mag, and the online world in which we all consume information, we are able to achieve even better results than ever before, by creating a community platform for music producers and DJs to rub shoulders and connect.
The IDM Mag Producer DJ Forum is a Facebook group managed and run by our team and is FREE for anybody interested to join.
It’s a forum to exchange ideas and to offer tips and advice (and receive them) about electronic music production and DJing.
We want it to be a space for both beginners and experienced music producer and/or DJs to be able to network, gain knowledge as well as offer knowledge.
Want some tips on the best suited plugins for a specific type of bass sound? Ask on the group.
Curious as to how one of your favourite artists processes his/her percussion. Ask on the group.
If you are a seasoned producer and want to offer some tips on how you created a certain technique on something that works for you – make a post on the group.
Perhaps as a DJ you’re interested in connecting your Traktor setup directly to a DJM900 mixer but would like to hear from others who have done it?
Want to know if Bandcamp is a worthwhile platform to release your music? Ask on the forum.
The IDM Mag Producer DJ Forum is an open canvas to pitch questions, voluntarily tell people about a neat trick or tip you’ve picked up on or simply to have a laugh now and again at ourselves.
The group is not genre-specific – we encourage music producers and DJs of any style or genre, no matter how underground or mainstream.
Collectively we are a unique bunch of creative individuals drawn together by our love for music and the beat of the electronic drum.
South Africa has so much talent and we hope that as a group, the Producer DJ Forum can help develop us all into better artists, sharing our experiences with like-minded individuals.
