Headrush Gigboard -very small form-factor, very big sound
Headrush Gigboard is a new all-in-one guitar multi-FX processor and amplifier simulator, with a 7” touch-display and killer sound.
Headrush Gigboard is the latest evolution in multi-FX units from the company who previously brought us “Pedalboard”, a bigger and slightly more versatile unit with a focus on configurability and audio quality. Much like its predecessor, the Headrush Gigboard features a 7” touch-display which makes creating your own custom rigs super easy, simply drag effects around to change the order, or drag-in new effects from the browser.
The Headrush Gigboard features a USB port that doubles as both an audio interface, and a connection to the librarian software which allows you to drag-and-drop custom presets or banks of presets – making it the perfect companion for both studio and live use. Furthermore, if you own a Headrush Pedalboard and don’t feel like lugging it around to every gig, the Headrush Gigboard might be the perfect solution, as they’re both powered by the same engine – the incredibly powerful Eleven HD Expanded system.
Let’s look at some of the technical features…
The Headrush Gigboard features an external FX Loop send and return, that means you can integrate any of your external effects pedals anywhere in your signal chain, there’s a stereo TRS output that doubles up as an amplifier output, incase you want to use an existing amp. The Headrush Gigboard also features a headphone output, so you’re able to get an incredibly accurate guitar and amp sound wherever you are – perfect for touring musicians needing to practice on-the-go.
It has an external expression pedal input and MIDI in/out, so you can expand the capabilities. There’s also 20 minutes of looping time built-in!
The Gigboard is set to retail at USD $649 (Around R10k excl. duties), which is not bad considering it’s an entire guitar effects and amp rig in such a compact form-factor.
