Gemini launches SDJ-4000 and MAS-1 Controllers
Gemini has revealed the SDJ-4000 and MAS-1 Controllers. These are meant to facilitate the improvement of digital in the live and DJ performance.
The SDJ-4000 is a two-deck, four-channel USB controller and has been designed to remove the need for a computer. The deck has a hi-res seven inch colour screen. This controller will allow you to analyse tracks, synchronize effects to the beat and create a database of music.
The SDJ-4000 will also include all of the regular EQs, two mic inputs, sixteen LED touch pads for controlling FX and bpm sync. It will also enable you to apply FX to additional external devices. You can add two extra media players via an Ethernet connection for access to pre-built libraries.
The MAS-1 is the manufacturer’s first MIDI controller that is aimed at clip-based performances. You can modify channels on Live through a range of light-up buttons and EQ controls, bend or tap in bpm and loop.
Four faders give a DJ controller feel and allow for smooth transitions between clips. Each channel also offers three sends to add a range of FX.
Both the SDJ-4000 and MAS-1 Controllers are scheduled for release later on this year.
