Funktion-One Vero touted as the ultimate festival sound system
The much anticipated Funktion-One Vero is almost ready for full time use, according to reports.
As it stands right now, Funktion-One is widely regarded as the no.1 choice of sound system for clubs and music festivals, especially electronic music events.
The new Funktion-One Vero has been mooted as the ultimate system for dance music, with widespread opinion favouring it as having been designed specifically for this.
The brand has a reputation for sublime sound quality, rendering the full frequency range to near perfection. The sound is crisp, punchy and possesses that most intangible quality – it is able to be both present and ‘in-your-face’ without actually being ear-bleeding loud.
The Funktion-One Vero has taken six years to develop and the British company says they are now only one month away from debuting the new system. They say that Vero was developed out of their ‘frustration’ for declining standards in live audio quality and the new system will be an easy to assemble and de-rig touring system.
A complete system
The Funktion-One Vero is a complete system and each component sis designed to deliver optimum performance. Hardware includes their patented Lambda flying system and an innovative projection software app which can be used to calculate the optimal settings for each array and the whole combined system, to deliver the best possible coverage for each unique location.
Tony Andrews, a Funtion-One founder says,
Talking from the perspective I have right now, just before we launch, I believe Vero will turn out to be one of the most important developments to come out of almost five decades working in audio,”
The Funktion-One Vero will be launched at Prolight + Sound Frankfurt, alongside the first touring product from the Evolution series, the Evo 7T, and a new horn-loaded bass enclosure, the F132, which has frequency response of 24Hz to 70Hz from a single 32-inch driver.
The industry will no doubt be watching – and listening – in anticipation to see what the new Funktion-One Vero delivers.
