Focusrite Sonarworks team up to offer free calibration license
A Focusrite Sonarworks collaboration offer has been launched for buyers/owners of Focursrite gear.
You can get a Sonarworks Reference 4 Headphone Edition license (valid until 1 October 2019) when you register your Focusrite hardware online.
Sonarworks is an incredibly useful system that corrects the acoustic response of various headphone models and studio environments. The Studio Edition works by analysing your space with a measurement microphone and applying correction through a plugin you load into your DAW or the Systemwide application which processes audio from Spotify, YouTube and any of your desktop applications. Sonarworks Reference 4 Headphone Edition comes with hundreds of preset headphone calibration settings for a large number of popular headphone models on the market.
Focusrite often adds value for their existing and new hardware users by doing these plugin giveaways every few months, however this offer is particularly awesome – as it aims to improve your overall music making process, not just some extra frills.
Different headphone models will alter your sound, some more drastic than others, and these differences will change the way you mix and master your sound. Sonarworks Reference 4 Headphone Edition works at correcting the nuances of these different frequency responses, creating a much flatter, more accurate response from your headphones.
How to get the Sonarworks license?
I believe the license is valid up until 1 October 2019, however you need to register or apply for the license before 2 May 2019.
New Focusrite hardware users simply need to register an account on the Focusrite website, while existing users can log into their account and download the software and license.
I honestly do believe Sonarworks Reference 4 is an essential investment for producers and engineers, and the great thing about this offer – is those who don’t believe me can try it out for themselves with a fully-functional version up until 1 October 2019.
