FL Studio Flex – a new synthesizer included in ver. 20.5
FL Studio Flex is a new user-friendly virtual synthesizer based around presets and macros – bundled free with 20.5 update.
FL Studio Flex is a brand-new software synthesizer built into the latest update of FL Studio; it’s included for free for all FL studio editions in the version 20.5 update.
FL Studio Flex is an incredibly vast sound engine hidden behind an incredibly easy-to-use interface, offering only the essential controls you need to make the most of your sounds.
Flex offers instant access to production ready sounds, with over five sound packs being included at launch and two premium packs available for purchase from Black Octopus sounds and more.
Each preset for Flex has several well thought out macros to minimize “dead tweaks” and make it easier for newcomers to step into basic sound design.
The plugin has an analysis window with an oscilloscope, a vector graph that displays frequencies over time, a vector scope for stereo content and a frequency histogram.
FL Studio Flex is a great addition to the very capable array of included synthesizers, they already have some synth powerhouses, so this is a great synth for those who want to concentrate on the music rather than getting stuck in a sound design loop.
Other new features in the FL Studio 20.5 update…
Another huge introduction to the latest FL Studio update is the ability to run the DAW as a VST or AU plugin on Mac OSX, they recently added compatibility for OSX however it was still limited compared to the Windows version.
They’ve also added full browser preview capabilities, performance monitoring, updates to some of their older “bread and butter” plugin interfaces, and a ton of overall performance tweaks and workflow improvements.
