Denon DJ announces the MC7000 DJ controller
Denon DJ has just announced the all new MC7000 professional Dj controller and the big news is that it has a dual audio interface.
The dual audio interface mean that two laptops can effectively share one controller and since it is a four-channel unit, it also means loads of collaborative fun will be had!
The MC7000 has two USB ports for plugging in separate laptops and although it resembles the flagship MCX8000 is many ways, it does not have the onboard screens and sadly does not have USB ports for flash drives so it cannot be used as a standalone unit.
However the MC7000 still looks like one fine looking machine.

The MC7000 still has an awesome feature list;
It has dual 6 inch touch-sensitive jogwheels, 8 performance pads per deck, 4 channels and is fully compatible with Serato DVS if you wish to use either vinyl or CDJ control for Serato DJ.
The layout looks very well thought out and everything is backlit which will a) make you look really cool in the Dj booth and b) actually help tremendously to see what you are doing in darkly lit clubs.
The unit includes a needle drop slider, dedicated key matching and changing controls, dual mic inputs, and 3 Serato Expansion Packs (Pitch ‘n Time, Flip and Video).
Connectivity is in the form of XLR or RCA and it looks rugged as hell and each channel has dedicated VU meters.
The dedicated key matching and changing controls is a first which they say will offer an “an unprecedented ability to instantly and harmonically match musical keys, resulting in an enhanced audience.” We’ll let you know how that goes when we test the MC7000.
It’s a little smaller than the big brother MCX8000 since it has no onboard screens.
