Reprogram the way your Ableton Live works with ClyphX Pro
ClyphX Pro is a scripting language that allows for easy manipulation of almost every aspect of your Ableton Live set.
Designed to be simple and easy-to-use, with little-to-no scripting knowledge required, ClyphX Pro even comes with examples to help you get started straight away.
The concept behind ClyphX Pro is the ability to control complex aspects of your live set, using clips that are loaded with “action scripts”. ClyphX Pro incorporates a truly extensive list of action scripts, giving you unparalleled hands-on control of your Live set. Add audio and MIDI tracks, adjust the project’s BPM, change loop marker positions, arm record and undo/redo by simply launching different clips. Actions can have fixed targets or be based on current clip selections, giving you a completely dynamic setup.
This is a great system for live performers who want the full flexibility of Ableton Live, without having to disconnect themselves from their audience while diving into complex menu settings on the laptop screen. The action clips can be triggered via MIDI controller or something like a Launchpad or Ableton Push.
ClyphX Pro also allows you to trigger actions using marker points in your Ableton Arrangement View.
What’s the catch?
ClyphX Pro only works on Ableton Live version 9.7 or later, and Max For Live is essential – meaning you need to have the full “Suite” version of Ableton Live.
ClyphX pro comes with a host of other handy features, Macrobat is a component designed to add various new macro controls to Ableton’s Live Racks. Also included are various premade devices for sequencing action scripts, and a host of Live Lessons and example projects to get you going quickly.
nativeKontrol’s ClyphX Pro is available on Isotonik Studios for only £27.00 (Around R450), if you’re interested in adding that extra level of control to your live sets.
