Behringer Analog Synth – Sneak peak preview
A Behringer Analog Synth looks like it will finally be a reality after the budget gear company has talked about it for some time now.
The Behringer Analog Synth teaser video shows a handful of artists seeing the instrument for the first time and their reactions.
Among these are makes use of synth guru Richard Devine who has been used by several companies to show off their latest synthesizers in promo videos. Electronic band Vile Electrodes and synthesist Allert Aalders also feature and they all look genuinely impressed by the reveal.
The burning question of course will be whether this Behringer Analog Synth will be dirt cheap like most of their gear, or are they going to try and take on the big boys?
Keeping mum
Although the video reveals more than most teasers do, Behringer have been fairly tight-lipped about this new synthesizer so far. On their Facebook page they simply say;
“It’s analog – not digital. It’s discrete – not modeling. And it sounds amazing!”
But from the video there are numerous close-ups which reveal labels such as VCA and analog and the suggestion is it may be a two-oscillator monosynth.
