ADAM Audio Studio Pro SP-5 – new professional studio headphones
The ADAM Audio Studio Pro SP-5 brings together the legacy of ADAM Audio’s sound and precise headphone technology of Ultrasone.
ADAM Audio have been somewhat of a staple in the studio monitor industry, having released several iconic models used by mixing and mastering engineers all over the world. Now they’re taking bold first steps into the world of studio headphones with their new ADAM Audio Studio Pro SP-5 headphones.
The new ADAM Audio headphones incorporate Ultrasone’s S-Logic technology which utilizes unique driver placement to enhance the surround effect. This also reduces sound pressure level on the eardrum without reducing the perceived volume of the sound.
The ADAM Audio Studio Pro SP-5 headphones are closed-back headphones, meaning they can be used for both recording and mixing applications, they are described as “analytically precise” and offer a frequency response of 8Hz to 38kHz (far beyond what our ears can even pick up).
What’s the damage?

The ADAM Audio Studio Pro SP-5 headphones feature a high-end gold-plated 40mm transducer, they’re foldable and ship with a carry-case and choice of two cables – making them a great solution for engineers and producers on-the-go. They’re not cheap, however judging by the products that ADAM Audio and Ultrasone are known for, we can expect good value-for-money. They’re set to retail at USD $499 (Around R7200 Excl. duties) and are shipping as of today.
