Academy of Music Technology opens in May
The Academy of Music Technology opens in May in the CBD of Joburg at the Downtown Music hub, which is one of the oldest studios in the country.
The founder of the Academy of Music Technology is Emile Hoogenhout (Behr). Emile has been a professional performer, musician, and educator for the last fifteen years. He graduated from the Red Bull Music Academy in 2011 and is one of three Ableton certified trainers in Africa.
The Academy of Music Technology has a complete AMT Ableton curriculum that offers studio production techniques such as recording, editing and sequencing audio and MIDI, to live performance approaches with the likes of using Session View follow actions, live template designs and personalised Controllerism setups.
This particular curriculum has been put together over a time frame of three years and has been designed to help equip you, the learner with the tools you would need in order to do well with whatever sound you choose.
With the course you will also be helped with developing a deeper understanding of the multiple facets of Ableton Live and the world of computer based music production.
You will learn how to expand your setup with the integration of external instruments such as drum machines and synthesisers and how to create your own unique signature sound by using sampling and building personalised instrument and audio effects racks.
