Roland Music to host 24-Hour Online Music Festival
Roland Music global has announced a 24-Hour Online Music Festival they are calling ‘The Future. Redefined’ and this will launch on 9 September.
This unique streaming launch event is the first of its kind and Roland Music will introduce the world to a whole host of brand new ranges of music gear covering the full spectrum of their impressive catalog.
Expect to see brand new synthesizers, digital pianos, electronic drums, DJ equipment, BOSS guitar-related products, accessories, and a new genre of musical instrument never offered before by Roland music.
The last one is particularly intriguing; ‘a new genre of musical instrument never seen before…’ – this has certainly got our interest piqued but then so has the possibility of new synthesizers, electronic drums and DJ equipment.
There have also been rumours of a new AIRA range and now a return of the TR-909 is also being mooted online. You can read about the TR-909 here.
There seem to be no less than 5 brand new synthesizers planned for the launch and 3 new dance/DJ products – this could very well be new AIRA gear, V-Moda headphones or a revamped TR-909.
#909 day
In total Roland music will unleash over 30 new instruments and this is all happening on 9 September, which you guessed it, they’re dubbing #909 day which is pretty clever.
It was also announced just a few weeks back that Roland had bought premium headphone brand V-Moda so we’re definitely expecting some exciting new developments there. Some new studio and DJ headphones maybe?
The Future. Redefined will stream video broadcasts from eight major cities around the globe which will be hosting VIP events on #909Day.
This Roland Music product launch will span six time zones and will feature live performances, new product debuts, product demonstrations plus interviews with leading artists endorsing the products.
Seven of the eight cities are Tokyo, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Toronto, NYC, Los Angeles. They’re not saying where the eighth one is right now.
The festival will kick off at 4:00 UTC – sadly that’s 2 AM in South Africa.
If you are keen to be the first to see and know about the new Roland Music product ranges – remember they’re promising over 30 products – then this is the website to visit. IDM Mag will definitely be logging on!
