Rumours of Microsoft music making software surface
Speculation that Microsoft music making software is on the cards surfaced online thanks to a forum post on KVR.
The thread reads, “My team at Microsoft is looking for audio software engineers and program managers with experience building best-in-class products. If you want to be a part of the future of music creation in multiple dimensions check out the following openings and apply!”
Garageband comes packaged with Apple’s OS X and they also have the very well priced Logic Pro X which in one of the cheapest (and most thorough) DAW’s on the market.
Logic Pro X costs only R 3,000.
But there is no Microsoft music making software that comes with Windows.
Could this be to complete Groove Music Maker which was talked about and teased last year?
This may all be a part of Microsoft’s aim to make their products more appealing to creatives and music would certainly be a strong area to consider.
We shall wait and see…
