Denon DJ South Africa appoint Viva Afrika as agents 

Denon DJ South Africa have appointed Viva Afrika Sound and Light (PTY) LTD as the agents / distributor.

This appointment was effective from 1 March 2017 so all further Denon DJ gear will be brought into the country via the sound specialists.

This also means all warranty claims and repairs for Denon DJ South Africa will be managed via Viva Afrika who have an excellent repairs service centre in Johannesburg.

No doubt the appointment by Denon DJ South Africa was motivated by Viva Afrika’s sterling track record with Numark DJ gear, for which they have been the sole distributors to this country for 20 years.

Viva Afrika Sound and Light (PTY) LTD is pleased to announce that with immediate effect the company will be the sole distributor of  Denon DJ South Africa products.

Viva Afrika Sound and Light rank as one of the largest and most successful distributors of professional audio and DJ products in Africa. Their extensive portfolio of products includes several professional audio brands as well as the Numark DJ range, a brand they have had tremendous success with for 20 years and a proven track record. Now with Denon DJ, Viva Afrika Sound and Light is able to expand and enhance the offering for the DJ market with this premier brand.

In 2015/16 Denon DJ released an impressive new range of new DJ controllers all with the hallmark high quality build and functionality the company has built its reputation on. In November 2016 they teased the DJ world with their #ChangeYourRider slogan and in January announced a brand new Media Player [SC5000], a new professional DJ Mixer [X1800] and a Direct Drive DJ turntable [VL12] as well as a revamped Music Management application called Engine Prime.

Says Director Bernard Pienaar; “In 1991 I purchased a Denon DN-2000F, the world’s first dual CD player with pitch-control designed specifically for DJs from a company in Cape Town called Holscher Hi-FI, the Denon agents at the time.

“I used the DN-2000F in my up-and-coming mobile DJ business and was so impressed with the product that as Hybrid Components [the forerunner to Viva Afrika Sound and Light] we approached Holscher Hi-FI to sub distribute the Denon DN-2000F in South Africa. We did this for a few years, selling DN-2000F’s to various radio stations, night clubs and mobile DJ’s in South Africa.

“Viva Afrika Sound and Light are very excited and proud to once again, after 25 years, be associated with the Denon DJ brand and we look forward to making it the top DJ brand in South Africa.”
