Big House Recording Studios in Cape Town
Big House Recording Studios was founded by Matthew Davison in 2004. He is musician and engineer who figured Cape Town could use a new inspirational studio space. Last year he left the business and passed ownership on to Wesley Moolman, Nate Woodman and Devon Petersen.
Big House Recording Studios is situated in Woodstock, Cape Town. The studio’s creative energy is inspired by its trendy location, views, and the good amount of natural sunlight that the building gets.
They have worked with local artists such as Jack Parow, Cassper Nyovest, Arno Carstens, GoodLuck, Mathew Gold, Jeremy Loops, Classy Menace, Miss Celaneous, and more.
Big House Recording Studios specialises in audio and video, offering their services in composition for film, sound production, and voice-overs for advertisements or dialogue replacements in television and radio.
The Studio has four separate rooms and each room has a name and purpose.
Command Central
This where they track, edit and mix bands, VO’s, radio ads, ADR sessions, and put sound to film.
The Live room
This is where the band gets to lay down tracks, it is also ideal for vocal tracking for all your audio production to post audio needs.
The R&B Room
This room gets its name from the look and feel of the place and not simply from the music genre.
“This is where we create sonic reality for people who need help getting their ideas converted into something audible that you can share.
Instead of just having the audio ideas in one’s head, we can help you create what you’ve been hearing so that you can share your ideas with the world.”
The Lounge
The lounge is a room for chilling and coffee, a space to gather your thoughts and magic. You can hang out on either the blue velvet couch or the hammock by the window before getting back to work.
