YouTube Music lets you switch between song and music video without skipping a beat
Switch seamlessly between song and music video with YouTube Music.
YouTube’s Music streaming service has introduced a quaint little feature that lets users switch between listening to a song and watching the song’s music video without skipping a beat.
How it works is that if a music video is available, there will be two buttons at the top of the app’s screen saying “song” and “video.”
Users can then select the option of their choosing, switching seamlessly between song and video without any lagging or interruption.
And, because it’s time-matched, switching to the video mid-song will jump to the corresponding point in the video.
If you want to stick to just audio, go into settings and turn off the music video option by selecting “don’t play music videos.”

YouTube’s streaming service has also introduced other features like Smart Downloads, whereby your music is automatically saved at night when connected to Wi-Fi for offline listening pleasure.
What makes Smart Download different to the Offline Mixtape feature is that the former can save up to 500 tracks whereas the latter could only save 100.
And then, the streaming platform has launched some playlists for South African users, including:
YouTube Music may be fairly new to the streaming game, but they are definitely putting up a valiant effort.
