Woodstock Live takes place Sunday 20 March 2016 at Trafalgar Park in Woodstock, Cape Town.

The Woodstock Live concept is all about creating an environment for artistic expression and ‘engagement through spontaneous and meaningful cultural conversations and innovative ideas to promote artistic integrity and fearlessness’.

Woodstock Live is a project by The Kaggen Music and Film Trust.

  “As a collective we acknowledge the past and celebrate the evolution of Woodstock, striving for an inclusive approach between creative industry, local residents, businesses and communities.

Our business model for Woodstock Live is based on the social enterprise model. Our first objective is to develop a sustainable model over a term and then following this phase we will aim to develop a profitable series of events. Said Christopher de Vries, The Kaggen Music and Film Trust

The idea is to bring together the communities of Cape Town with music focused events. This will include a music festival for children and a tea party for the elderly; these will take place at Trafalgar Park in Woodstock throughout the year.

 The launch event for Woodstock Live will kick off at 2 PM until midnight, while the doors will officially open at 1 PM. Trafalgar Park is on the corner of Searle Street and Victoria Road.

The line up for Woodstock Live hosts a list of local favourites who each share a unique story of the artistry and successes.
