You see a Berlin Sex Party organiser broke down what it’s like to DJ an orgy for Thump. The party is a weekly event known as the Kinky Gang Bang which takes place every Thursday afternoon at the Insomnia Club.
People who are into “free love” gather at this club to have sex with random strangers until late at night. It is a long running event which is equal in success and notoriety.
The Insomnia club used to be a 19th century ballroom complete with high ceilings. The place has been renovated featuring a big screen overlooking the floor, a huge disco ball, and a video of woman licking ejaculate from her lips. It is certainly a place sexual deviants can call home.
The club even has a buffet lunch that is available all afternoon and the eating area is the one space where no sex is allowed.
It is a wonder as to what kind of music you play when you DJ an orgy.
Dominique, the club’s founder and owner has been an influential part of the Berlin club scene since the mid-nineties.
She used to promote events at the Kit Kat club but left that behind when it became too mainstream for her. She isn’t a DJ per se but has been behind the curation of playlists for the energetic sex parties since 2006.
Her experience on how to DJ an orgy is therefore a thoroughly practised skill.
A quote from her interview with Thump…
“I’m not a DJ as such, I’m the owner of the club and I do every task necessary. But the point is, during the week we have sex parties with more-or-less background music. Friday and Saturday we have erotic dance parties where sex also happens, so this is really a different concept. For the sex parties, techno is for sure the best and hip-hop is also nice—you saw earlier how the whole club was fucking with the same rhythm. Hip-hop is great for fucking because we do what they sing!”
