Someone has created vodka Red Bull sausages
Yes you read right: Vodka Red Bull sausages.
What a time to be alive!
Maguire Meats, a small Northern Ireland butcher, has gotten down with the party culture and created sausages infused with the infamous drink, vodka Red Bull.
This came about as they were contemplating ideas for their new range of sausages to hit grills this summer, and found it to actually work well.
Keelen Maguire, the butcher who birthed this idea, says that they “have a few other ideas” up their sleeves.
Maquire Meats isn’t alone in their drunken escapade of sausage porkportions.
McCartney’s of Moira, a 140-year-old butchery in the city of Craigavon has unveiled their own range of bombed bangers including a gin and tonic pork sausage and a pear cider pork sausage.
McCartney’s is also known for its Guinness sausage.
Sausage Saloon
6th generation owner of McCartney’s told the Belfast Telegraph: “We thought we would try and drum up a bit of interest with new sausage flavors. I don’t know what led me onto the idea of gin, I had this notion about gin and tonic as a flavour, as it’s a very popular and cool and trendy thing at the minute, everyone is going gin mad. We decided to give it a try and thought nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
Well we can’t argue with that logic, can we? You have to stay trendy; it’s the 21st century after all.
I wonder how this will be applied to drinking and driving. “No drinking/and or eating alcoholic sausages and driving.”
Silly sloshedsages!
Cheers to sausage shooters, as we welcome the invention of vodka Red Bull sausages.
