Viberate predicts Grammy win for Best Dance Recording
Viberate predicts Grammy win for Best Dance Recording by measuring popularity growth.
With the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards fast-approaching -January 26- one cannot help but speculate who will win in the respective categories.
And the nominees for Best Dance Recording are:
- Bonobo- Linked
- The Chemical Brothers- Got To Keep On
- Meduza Featuring Goodboys- Piece Of Your Heart
- Rufus Du Sol- Underwater
- Skrillex, Boys Noize & Ty Dolla $ign- Midnight Hour
When looking at the nominees for the Best Dance Recording, which includes industry juggernauts such as Skrillex and The Chemical Brothers, it’s easy to predict that artists of that caliber would win, especially since they lead the Electronic acts in the number of nominations.
But, according to Viberate’s data, Meduza’s smash hit “Piece Of Your Heart” brought its maker the most growth in recent months, which is apparently going to translate to a win.
The Instagrammys
In their editorial project, dubbed “The Instagrammys,” Viberate went and measured each nominee’s online popularity growth in the past six months July to December 2019). They discovered that Meduza is the fastest rising new Electronic act.
Data reveals all, and when looking at the stats of “Piece Of My Heart,” which includes featuring on multiple year-end charts globally (including Top 5 most shazamed songs of 2019), as well as being certified Platinum in 5 EU countries and Australia, AND that it was streamed in tens of millions, it’s no surprise this Ibiza staple made the cut.
“Piece Of My Heart” is in no way a surprise entry, but rather a “mainstream contender” opposite critically acclaimed Bonobo and Rüfüs du Sol.
Viberate predicts Grammy win for Best Electronic Recording will go to Meduza; come January 26 we will find out if the company was right.
