The Trainspotting 2 trailer has been released and after years of speculation and rumours the filming of the sequel has officially began.
If you have been patiently waiting for the new Trainspotting movie then you can satiate your appetite with the new Trainspotting 2 Trailer.

The new trailer doesn’t however contain any new footage. It has been put together with edits from the original film. It is set to ‘Lust For Life’ by Iggy Pop, which is the theme song for the first film. It confirms that filming began on the 16th of May, and that the original key cast of Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle will once again be playing their original characters as Renton, Spud, Sick Boy and Begbie.
Often serious fans of cult classics prefer that the original remains untouched and frown upon the idea of sequels.
But the momentum gained by the fan support for a Trainspotting sequel has created a space that is open to receiving a new movie of its kind. The British cult film has eagerly awaiting fans all over the world that are dead set on watching the sequel just as soon as it comes out. The trailer is a celebration of the filming for the new movie having kicked off, a little reminder that everyone has something exciting to look forward to next year.
The Trainspotting 2 trailer also depicts that the title of the movie will be T2, it is suspected that this will not be the official title though.
The screenplay, written by John Hodge who is the original screenwriter, loosely adapts Irvine Welsh’s novel sequel Porno.
Ewan McGregor even hinted that the sequel would be titled T2 on a new edition of the Empire Podcast.
Trainspotting 2 or whatever its title will be, arrives in movie theatres in January 2017 in over twenty years since the first film came out.
