Tortured Soul return to SA on 15 December 2019 for one show
Tortured Soul returns to South African soil for another Lyric Theatre performance.
Last year the tremendous trio performed at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City in Jozi for one night only to a sold out show.
As they say, “Just so nice, we had to do it twice!”
Due to popular demand Bassline Live, Kaya FM and Brentwood Africa combined forces to bring this accomplished soulful house group back to SA.
The band will be performing for one night only at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City on the Saturday, 15th December 2018. The Show starts at 8pm and tickets are on sale at Computicket from R250.
For the love of SA
In an interview with NuSoul Hub Radio, Lead vocalist, John Christian Urich is quoted as saying:
“People live and breathe house music in South Africa. It’s like air or water. It’s visceral and palpable. Going to a house music event in South Africa is different than any place else I’ve been to in the world. It’s really like oxygen. You are in a biosphere that runs on house music. One lives house music in South Africa. It’s an amazing experience and existence.”
Tortured Soul is one of the world’s most groove-centred acts, drawing influence from the classic song craft of Prince, Heatwave and Kool & The Gang. All three members are distinctive guys with three different backgrounds, united under a groove-centered rhythm.
