TIDAL releases Mau5trap documentary, watch it now
Wild Things: Life inside the mau5trap documentary takes a look at the powerhouse dance music label.
Deadmau5’s music label is in no way something to fill the time with. This dance music label has proven to be a powerhouse in the industry, continuously adding to its growing list of talent and relentlessly pushing out impressive releases.
Now, they have teamed up with streaming platform TIDAL to give fans a deeper look at the label, its artists and why it stands out among the rest with the new documentary Wild Things: Life inside the mau5trap.
The 25-minute documentary follows mau5trap’s takeover of 2019’s Ultra Music Festival in Miami, giving insight into the musical perspectives and processes of the mau5trap collective, including Rinzen, Monstergetdown, No Mana, Jay Robinson, Callie Reiff, Canadian singer Lights, i_o and the label head honcho and ultimate mau5, Joel Zimmerman (aka deadmau5).
Inside the mauu5trap
Besides sharing family insights, the documentary also digs into the history of the label and how it came to be one of the most renowned of its kind in the dance music community as well as what they believe the future holds for mau5trap.
“The future of the label I guess will be more artists, more music, a little more traction,” says Zimmerman in the film. Just making this mass catalog because we’ve been growing it for the last like 10 or 12 years. Just a big part of music.”
Wild Things also documents the story behind the new Cube V3 from deadmau5 as well as fun clips of life inside the mau5trap.
