The Assembly Cape Town closes – end of an era
One of the longest running modern music venues in Cape Town, The Assembly will sadly shut its doors next Saturday.
Opened in 2007, it was slightly different to the conventional live venue which focused predominantly on bands. In fact its founders had more in common with electronic artists than bands, yet they managed to establish the club as the go-to place for hip bands to do their launches.
Ironically The Assembly probably fared better hosting live bands than DJs over the years, but all-in-all they can be proud of some of the artists that played on their stages.
Come and join them for one last big blast on Saturday 13 August. It’s FREE and it’ll be a fitting farewell to an awesome club.
Thanks for all the amazing memories, quality music and good times guys.
