A tech house petition to ban the genre. Really?
Someone has launched a tech house petition to effectively ban the sub-genre.
Genre-bashing is nothing new and tech house certainly gets more than its fair share of haters but this guy as decided a petition is the best way to express his dislike of the music style.
The fact that this Jeremy Cocks guy was so moved to action, speaks volumes of the emotions he was riding before letting it all loose on a petition page.
The tech house petition is more or less the music industry equivalent of angry “haters” arguing with each other in the comments of a YouTube music video. This self proclaimed “elitist prick” took time out of his day of being better than everyone to explain why tech house is “offensive to any form of musicality”.
Haters gonna hate
This unknown is clearly upset over the heavily saturated phase that the genre is going through. And, since he most likely isn’t getting the attention he craves anywhere else he is managing to get a little bit of it like this. He complains about being in his late twenties and girlfriend-less. Then he goes on to hate on female comedians. A guess is this is because they have better jokes than him.
But the worst is when he tries to talk down about one of the food world’s holy grails, curry. Anyone who tries to bash curry while talking about being superior clearly hasn’t lived.
“I am also 27 years old and can’t get a girlfriend, so if someone can sort me out with one of those too please that’d be ace. Can’t figure out why I don’t have one, but I’m assuming it’s because I am an elitist prick who gets angry over people’s musical preferences and spends too much time online shit posting and being sad,” said Cocks.
To be fair, the tech house petition might be this guy’s best piece of work to date. Throwing tantrums and moaning about how much you hate things is the only way that some can feel creative.
So far the tech house petition has managed to lasso in 459 fellow haters and bandwagon jumpers.
