Tbo Touch snubs Cassper, lands in trouble
The Tbo Touch snubs Cassper story that has started trending may have landed the DJ in trouble at Metro FM after he failed to follow through on an interview with local rapper Cassper Nyovest.
The interview was meant to take place on Tbo Touch’s ‘The Touchdown’ show at the Metro FM studios in Auckland Park. However, Cassper had to cancel on physically going in to studio because he would be out shooting a music video with Mahotella Queens for his latest track ‘Malome’.
Cassper Nyovest instead requested that the interview be carried out over the phone.
So Tbo Touch snubs Cassper by refusing to follow through despite the interview being arranged by the SABC as part of a promotion schedule for the upcoming Metro FM awards happening later on this month.
At this time the SABC is investigating the Tbo Touch snubs Cassper incident and the radio DJ may be finding himself on the receiving end of disciplinary action from his bosses.
“You must understand that the interviews are for the station, not Tbo Touch. We are aware of the incident, and it’s a matter we are dealing with internally.” Shared Kaizer Kganyago, SABC spokesperson
Apparently, there is more behind this story since Tbo is reportedly annoyed with Cassper for turning down a sponsorship deal back in 2014.
This quote was shared by an unnamed friend of Tbo Touch:
“Touch really loved Cassper’s hard work and felt that he deserved something as a reward,” said the friend. He then got him a BMW sponsorship live on air, but felt disrespected when Cassper declined the offer.”
Tbo Touch’s PR agency shared the following stern and professional statement:
“At this stage, Touch has requested that rapper Cassper follow the correct procedures to address any matter he has with Touch and allow for due process to take place. Touch is focusing on his TouchWarwick wine debut at the AfriAsia Cape Wine Auction that raises millions of rands for education for the underprivileged. Last year, the auction raised R10-million in 4 hrs.”
