Superlounge – Ghost Of Time featuring Jinadu and Forrest (Culprit)
Superlounge – Ghost Of Time featuring Jinadu and Forrest (Culprit) is a wonderfully deep and refined two track release.
Dusseldorf’s duo Superlounge, aka Alex Bach and Oliver Fritsche are known for their connection with Alex Niggemann, on the Soulfooled label and of course in the studio too. The German duo Superlounge have been producing music since first getting together in 2006. They have been exploring the sounds of raw minimalism, house structures and liquid smooth ambiance and not forgetting to
tap into the sound of deep and driving house music.
They have now gone out on their own and are fortifying their own distinguished sonic palette with this Culprit release.
They’ve opted to go the full songwriting route and got two really good vocalists and lyricists to help write the tracks. It’s always a good idea to get a few creative energies involved when trying to create something magical and musically juicy.
A collaborator with Jimpster, Christian Prommer and Frankey & Sandrino, Jinadu offered up his contemplative lyrics to the title track; complimenting the gently pulsating bassline and and groove of ‘Ghost of Time’.
Forrest who has grown to be one of the most sought after guest vocalists in dance music, features on the track ‘Counting Days’.
His vocal work and original productions has been showcased on some reputable underground dance labels, from Get Physical to Rebellion, My Favorite Robot to Vakant. On this track his melancholy verses highlight Superlounge’s deeply warm production.
The release also includes a pair of remixes from two other up and coming duos. Los Angeles’ Richoshei offers an original take on the title track, shaping it into something that is completely their own. Timelapse are an Italian duo operating out of Berlin and bring a darker minimalistic feel to the release.
