Stacey Pullen plays two SA gigs this week
Stacey Pullen plays two SA gigs this week. The Detroit techno DJ/producer will be playing at ERA night club in Cape Town on the 13th of November & at AND CLUB in Joburg on the 14th of November.
These stops are part of Stacey Pullen’s international tour which sees him travel the world and promote his newly released compilation album ‘Balance 028’. His South African stop will be the third gig of his promo tour.
The AND CLUB event will host the first of ‘The Innovator Series’ with Stacey Pullen headlining the party.
The Innovator Series is a new concept focused on showcasing the dance music industry’s most imaginative innovators, right here on local soil.
Stacey Pullen is a strong player in the second wave of the Detroit Techno movement. He has been mentored by techno pioneers such as Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, and Juan Atkins. He carries through into the future of electronic dance music the wisdom of past legends along with his influential vision for the future.
The Balance 028 compilation serves as proof that Stacey Pullen feels he has nothing to prove. He chose to be original with his track selection without feeling the need to replicate his club sets, which would obviously ensure consistency.
He is what a DJ ought to be, someone who has the ability to adapt to fit any scenario and have a good time with it.
“Pullen’s effort perfectly hones in on that sweet spot between the visceral and the physical.”
If you would like to be a part of the experience that this innovative artist has to offer then catch him at get to Era in Cape Town on Friday, 13th November then at AND CLUB on Saturday 14th November. Tickets cost R 120.
