Spring Fiesta 2019 announces headliners, Phase 1 tickets now on sale
Things are heating up as Spring Fiesta 2019 open phase 1 ticket sales.
Ah, Spring Fiesta is in the air. Even though we are still frozen solid, the headliner announcement for this year’s edition as well as the opening of ticket sales will defrost you until you are thawed out ready to get your Fiesta on come 5 October.
After keeping fans yearning for info, Spring Fiesta have announced their international guests:
KARIZMA, real name Kris Klayton, is an award winning International DJ and electronic music producer/artist from Baltimore, MD, USA, known for his wide genre of music production in deep house, deep techno, hip hop, jazz and broken beats, and his ability to master Pioneer Corporation’s CDJ-2000 and DJM 2000.
The return of Osunlade
The second international guest is an artist who needs no introduction having been in the dance music industry since the 80’s, an enormous body of work and an illustrious career.
Yoruba Records founder OSUNLADE is no stranger to South Africa and quite frankly it is quite the (welcome) surprise that he is even returning to our imperfect shores.
After his last appearance here (at Spring Fiesta 2015), Osunlade vowed to never return to South Africa and even went as far as urging fellow artists to boycott SA.
He had very strong opinions, but time goes on and perspectives change, so he’ll be returning to Mzansi for this year’s Spring Fiesta.
Some fans are understandably annoyed that he’s coming back (he had VERY strong opinions against SA) while others are fully supportive.
Either way, he will be there, and hopefully he will walk away with a better view of our homeland, which although is flawed, is still our home.
