SoundCloud Premier presents monetisation options to independent users
SoundCloud Premier is now open to all subscribers.
SoundCloud has just announced its plans to expand monetisation options to include independent users.
Formerly invite only, Premier monetisation is rolling out to all eligible SoundCloud Pro and Pro Unlimited subscribers at no added cost.
However, to be eligible for monetisation opportunities your uploads must have had a minimum of 5000 plays in the past month from the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands or New Zealand.
Additionally, the company rules that only original content uploaded by independent users is eligible for this feature.
Some of the benefits of this feature includes leading revenue share, faster pay-outs, it comes with Pro, your uploaded tracks are instantly available for discovery and monetisation, and you have direct access to your fans where you will get feedback in real time.
Expanding and empowering
“SoundCloud is the world’s largest open audio platform, with content from more than 20 million creators,” says current CEO of SoundCloud Kerry Trainor. “Expanding SoundCloud Premier’s direct monetization offering from thousands, to hundreds of thousands of eligible creators is an exciting step in our commitment to empowering as many creators as possible to grow their careers first on SoundCloud.”
In other SoundCloud news, Pioneer DJ’s DJM-REC App now supports SoundCloud. The app records mixes directly via USB from compatible Pioneer DJ mixers. Alternatively, t can be used with any mixer with any compatible hardware such as Evermix’s MixBox.
