SONOS and APPLE Music say that couples who listen to music together have more sex
SONOS and Apple Music would like you to believe that couples who listen to music together have more sex, stronger bonds, and deeper trust in their partners and they have backed this up with another ‘independent study.’
This timely announcement seems to be aptly in line with the announcement that Apple is now available on SONOS.
The idea behind the study was to find out whether music being played at home could help bring families together and bring happiness into the space. And above all, if playing music in the home may find you and your partner having more sex.
The study was carried out with the help of thirty different households in eight different countries across the world.
Apple Music and Sonos surveyed the emotional states of these people as well as their daily activities. The responses were taken and observed during one week with no music and one week with music.
According to the results, families who listened to music out loud were found to be less irritable and hostile with each other. They even spent more time with one another.
But the biggest find in the study has to do with how couples who played music out loud had twice as much sex in a week than couples who don’t.
Apple Music and Sonos also found that by listening to music, you help increase attraction to your significant other, which leads to more sex, as well as experiencing a stronger bond of love and trust with your partner.
The concept of music being used as a sexual stimulator is however not a new one and there is more than one study to back this up.
BBC reported on the topic of music and sex a while ago and stated that…
“Charles Darwin argued that music evolved as a way to attract lovers, and a study claims to support his idea. The study was carried out by psychologist Benjamin Charlton of the University of Sussex in Brighton, England. In his experiment, he found that women’s sexual preferences for composers changed during their menstrual cycle, and that they preferred composers of more complex music – who might be construed as more capable mates – at the most fertile point of the cycle.”
Charles Darwin wrote in The Descent of Man…
“Musical notes and rhythm were first acquired by the male and female progenitors of mankind for the sake of charming the opposite sex.”
