SAMA24 full list of 2018 winners
This past weekend SAMA24 was held at Sun City with no shortage of winners.
The annual SAMAs took place over the course of the weekend, with the first evening of wins taking place on Friday, 1 June.
The ceremony was hosted by Mpho Popps and was screened live on SABC 1 (DStv 191) as well as being streamed live via the SAMAs Facebook page.
The second evening of awards was opened and welcomed by President Cyril Ramaphosa, who also presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Spokes H, Steve Kekana and Mbongeni Ngema and presented Shashika Mooruth with the International Achiever Award.
Fan-favourite Kwesta was snubbed, losing out on two categories he was nominated in and there were two disqualifications, including Mobi Dixon’s remix of an international song.
Skolopad had to be carried out the venue after passing out due to exhaustion, although there is speculation that it was alcohol;-related.
