Watch- Rudimental, Major Lazer Let Me Live music video shot in Joburg
Rudimental and Major Lazer demonstrate how to live.
The UK drum and bass band teamed up with US superstar dance trio Major Lazer to release a video for the vibrant track, Let Me Live, which features stunning vocals from UK singer Anne-Marie and Nigerian singer Mr Eazi.
Wow, that’s a mouthful, but the message behind the song is all about self-empowerment and living your life the way you see fit because at the end of the day only you are the driver behind the wheel of your life, so either seek sunsets are storms but it’s all you.
Besides the uplifting and groovy track the music video, directed by South Africa’s Chris Saunders, was shot in London and JOBURG!
Let Me Live
The video does a great job in portraying South African culture; with the Joburg scenes shot under a bridge in the centre of town and stars pantsula dancers dressed in bright clothing as their fast feet perfectly capture the upbeat tempo of the track.
The video also shows SA’s spinning culture, whereby the one and only BMW 325i spins ecstatically, burning rubber, as it does.
The London part of the video was shot at low-key Ridley Road Market in Dalston; the calm before the colour explosion that is South Africa.
The single features on Rudimental’s third album TOAST TO OUR DIFFERENCES, out Friday Sept 7.
