Richie Hawtin to release 25th anniversary box set of F.U.S.E albums
Richie Hawtin presents, Dimensions, out 15 April.
The name ‘Richie Hawtin’ is synonymous with the word ‘techno’ and now this pioneer is releasing a special 25th anniversary vinyl box set from his F.U.S.E moniker.
The box set, called Dimensions, is set for release 15 April via his Plus 8 Records imprint The Vinyl Factory, and includes expanded versions of his previously unreleased album Computer Space alongside Dimensional Intrusion and Train-Tracs.
Dimension Intrusion was originally released in 1993 via Plus 8 Records, taking inspiration from sci-fi movies and a collection of vintage synthesisers and drum machines.
It was released for the second time via Warped Record’s iconic Artificial Intelligence series.
In 1993, Richie also released a remix EP called Train-Tracs.

Hawtin explained that Computer Space was an experiment “based upon sampling the Roland TB-303 with Akai S950 sampler”. He added: “By looping and stretching different TB-303 samples I was able to create strings, pads and different TB-303 related textures that became the basis of the Computer Space sessions”.
This limited edition 25th anniversary box set also includes 3 artist-grade prints from the original F.U.S.E album covers, designed by his brother Matthew Hawtin.
The release of Dimensions will be celebrated family-style with an audio-visual exhibition at The Store X, 180 The Strand, from April 5-7 with art by Matthew and music by Richie, played on The Vinyl Factory Soundsystem.
Pre-order a copy of Dimensions by Richie Hawtin before its release 15 April.
