Rezonance NYE 2016 – 2017 is just over 2 months away. Yup, another year has spun by in record time!

But things are different this year. It’s time for change!

Rezonance NYE 2016 will no longer be at Contermanskloof just off the N7.

They have decided to take the New Years Eve event out of the proximity of the Cape Town CBD – i.e. not just a 20 minute drive to and from the venue like before.

Rez Fest 2016 – 2017 is all about the full camping experience and spending 4 days and 3 nights together under the African Sky blissfully away from city life.

The Venue

The new venue is the Pat Busch Mountain Reserve. It’s a 2 hour drive from Cape Town, approximately 170 km’s from the city centre.

If you’re looking for a spectacular setting to enter the New Year, this reserve, surrounded by the Langeberg Mountains is just that and more.

The location is actually part the Klaasvoogds West foothills in the Langeberg Mountains, 15km between the towns of Robertson & Ashton. To get there you need to head onto Route 62, which one can get to via the N1, travelling through Worcester if coming from Cape Town.

Aside from 4 days of pumping beats, there are freshwater farm dams to swim in and incredible mountain trails to explore.

I see Rezonance 2016 – 2017 more as a festival getaway for 4 days than just another ‘skop in the bush.’

Contermanskloof was a great location but the organisers feel it is time for a change and a fresh venue to create a more focused event.

Of course the convenience factor of being close to town appealed to some but the new venue caters for an all round better camping and festival experience.

By taking Rezonance 2016 back out of town and to the magnificent Pat Busch Mountain Reserve, those who are prepared to make the effort get the reward.

If you know what it’s like to travel a few km’s out of town you will surely agree that when a little effort is made, the party vibe is almost always that much better.

My vision is that Rezonance 2016 will be filled with committed party folk looking to enjoy the entire experience with like-minded individuals.

I can’t wait.

I shall be there for the full 4 days (5 if they’ll let me) soaking up Mother Nature, stomping away as I rinse my soul for the year ahead.
