Who will win record of the year at SAMA 2016?
There is much speculation over who will win record of the year at the SAMA 2016 awards. The annual awards show will take place in Durban on the 4th of June at the ICC. Out of all the prizes to be awarded, Record of The Year is likely the most coveted.
The top twenty songs on the nominations list were announced on Live Amp and the local SA music scene has been awash with opinions on just which track deserves the title at the SAMA 2016 awards.
The time frame of eligibility for all the categories is from December 1 of one year to November 30 of the next year.
But the dates were altered for the Record of the Year award, and the time frame for the category is from the 1st of December 2014 to the 29th of February 2016. The idea behind this change is to include the most recent December radio hit tracks.

You can vote for your Record of the Year choice if you would like to see it make it to the top ten. The top ten tracks will be announced on the 27th of June on Live Amp. Once the top ten have been announced you will get to vote for the winner and voting will close at 21h00 during the SAMA 2016 awards show.
