Prince Kaybee says he is desperate to collaborate with Rihanna
Prince Kaybee has his eye on one prize only and that is to collaborate with RiRi.
This is not only a dream of his; if he fails to do so by the end of the year he says he will “quit music.”
Kaybee of Better Days fame has experienced his desire to collaborate on a house track with Rihanna since the release of his second album.
Kaybee expressed his wish in full: “I’m going to drop my album in September and I’d say it’ll be my last album as I won’t make any other music before I feature Rihanna. I want to feature Rihanna on my next single after the album and if that doesn’t happen I will quit music.”
That may seem a bit drastic but you have to go for what you want without mercy.
This collaboration isn’t such a far-fetched desire as Kaybee is signed under Universal Records South Africa with Rihanna under Universal Records USA.
“My team is in contact with Rihanna. We’re under the same label. I’m under Universal South Africa and she’s under Universal USA so we’re in talks with the management and we shall see what happens,” said Kaybee.
Why Rihanna? He expressed: “Rihanna is dope. Rihanna has done so many things in her life and musically as well. I’ve never heard a bad Rihanna song.”
In terms of the local music scene Kaybee is interested in working with house producers from Zimbabwe.
Although Zimdancehall has taken over the country musically, he doesn’t “compromise on house music” but believes it will be “interesting to work with someone who does house music from here” (Zim)
He performed at Eden Night Cub in Bulawayo and knocked it out of the park, obviously.
He had fans dancing the night away with queues of revelers waiting outside.
Let’s hope Prince Kaybee can fulfill his dream collaboration with Rihanna so he will continue to make music.
