Playlistify lets you create Spotify or Apple Music playlists from DJ sets
Create Spotify/Apple Music playlists to relive DJ sets, shows and concerts with Playlistify.
We’ve all been there; obsessing over a set, playing it over and over again. And, sometimes we listen to sets or skip through sets just to get to certain tracks in said set.
Fair enough, you can manually look up all the tracks in the tracklist and create your own playlists on the streaming service of your choice but it’s 2019 (the tail end, in fact) and one thing that remains consistent is instant gratification which you can harness through Playlistify.app.
Playlistify is a web app created by Reddit user u/iAligator which allows the user to create Spotify and Apple Music playlists from concerts, DJ sets and shows.
So, how does it work?
Playlistify
Playlistify pulls the information you need to re-create a playlist from 1001tracklists.com, setlist.fm, or livetracklist.com.
It’s as easy as searching for a set on 1001tracklists.com, setlist.fm, or livetracklist.com, copying the URL over on Playlistify.app and voila, a playlist is generated for you in the streaming service of your choice.
Technology like this not only allows more exposure to dance music but creates a richer environment for all music to thrive by making the listener active in creating their sonic journeys. You can get to know so much music in this way.
As an app it’s VERY easy to use, I definitely recommend giving it a bash. On a side note, simply searching your desired artist on the playlist housing websites (1001tracklists.com, etc) presents a super-easy way of finding DJ sets and such.
