Pharrell Williams to produce a ‘rave gone wrong’ type horror movie
Pharrell Williams continues to branch out his career as he sets out to produce a horror movie surrounding a rave gone wrong.
The exceedingly talented Pharrell is set to produce a new horror film titled Survive the Night, based on a novel for young adults by Danielle Vega of the same title.
It is reported that Pharrell is teaming up with Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver to bring this film to light, and we guess a bit of dark with regards to the plot.
Naturally, the plot develops around something of a musical nature, which in this case is an underground rave.
Rave to the grave
The film follows a group of 4 college girls trapped at an underground Halloween rave with a killer out to get them.
They must fight for their lives to survive the night.
Music will play a vital role in the film, which has already been picked up by Warner Bros.
Joining him on the production team is his I Am Other Entertainment partner Mini Valdes, with whom he worked together on the Oscar-nominated drama Hidden Figures as music supervisor.
Also joining the team is Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Dutton of Alloy Entertainment. It’s been a big week for Pharrell as it was announced that he has joined the UK startup music tech company ROLI, investing in them and becoming co-owner as well as chief creative officer.
Pharrell Williams is making the most of his talent, taking a slice of many a pie in the entertainment
industry.
