Your Origin 2016 Festival Checklist

The Origin 2016 Festival gates open on Friday at 2PM and it’s going to be a full weekend of rocking beats, plenty of smiles and a lot of dancing.

Origin has been likened to South Africa’s mini equivalent of the iconic BOOM Festival in Portugal simply because it delivers so much more than just a ‘skop in the bush.’

Aside from the multiple dancefloors serving up an array of delectable beats from psytrance (main floor) to techno, house, world beats (Beats Floor) and some good old downtempo chill music (The Forest Chill) including morning yoga to boot, there’s just so much action at Origin 2016 Festival including two swimming dams, food and clothing markets this year, it’s one not to be missed.

Here’s a checklist before you head out for the weekend to Origin 2016 Festival…

1.Tickets Available all weekend long

There will be no cash sales available at the gate this year but you can purchase tickets online throughout the weekend.

In other words online ticket sales will not close even when the outlets are sold out. That means if you wake up on Sunday morning and the FOMO is too strong to ignore you can still go online, buy a ticket and head on through!

2.Tickets part 2 – Don’t be duped!

Only buy tickets from advertised outlets or online from Quicket. Nothing else can be trusted!

3.Festival Programme

There is an online festival programme available for download from the website home page for Originfestival.com.

4.Leave no trace

Please do your part to ensure litter doesn’t get left anywhere. This is an issue that has plagued outdoor gatherings for some time now so please go to Origin 2016 Festival with good intentions to play hard, play safe and keep it tidy – and that means the venue too!

5.Butts – the smokey kind

The ground is not an ashtray, please respect the environment and the venue and keep them off the ground. Just be mindful not to throw ciggies on the ground. It is really harmful for the environment.

6.Know the No’s

Please remember that these guidelines for Origin 2016 Festival will be enforced…

No glass bottles
No under 18’s – Id on request
No fires of any kind
No domestic animals or pets
No independent sound systems
No illegal substances
No cigarettes buds on the ground
No littering
