Is OCTOPIA FSTVL H2O reinvented?
The OCTOPIA FSTVL in Joburg will take place on the 8th of October this year. The new festival is a product of the creators of the famous H2O parties that took place for a good 10 years (or more) at Wild Waters in Boksburg.
OCTOPIA FSTVL will feature sixty local acts and eight international headliners. Paul Van Dyk is the main attraction at the debut event and he will be playing on the main stage.
The last time Paul Van Dyk played in South Africa was back in 2012. Van Dyk has recently released his ‘Berlinition’ track and he also remixed ‘We Can Be’ by Chris Bekker and Tricia McTeague.
His collaboration with Alex M.O.R.P.H on ‘We Are’ (VANDIT) is currently sitting at number one on the Beatport Trance charts.
Dutch duo, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano will also be on the line up, along with Ferreck Dawn, Technasia, Alex Cruz, Liquid Soul, and Berlin based Olive Dollar.
The local line up will include, Protoculture, F.Eu, Ricardo Da Costa, Lady Lea, TiMO ODV, DJ Warras, Jazzuelle, Sliqe, DJ Switch, and more.
Stages
OCTOPA FSTVL will have six stages each featuring different genres of electronic music, namely…
- The 8 ENERGY SYSTEM – main arena
- LLUSIONS Side Stage
- BASS UNION
- 3 HEARTS PROJECT
- OCTOPUS VALLEY
- BLAME IT ON THE DANCE FLOOR!
OCTOPIA FSTVL promises to be an underwater wonder with a focus on the water element.
“We are pushing the boundaries with this event and are putting in a lot of effort to create something new and fresh for the SA dance scene, focusing on décor and production for something never seen before!” said Paul & Dave Forbes and partner Itsik Bouhbot, owners and promoters of H2O and Octopia FSTVL
