NYC man arrested for having eighty speakers in his van
In Queens, a NYC man was arrested for having eighty speakers in his van. He chose to turn things up during a Mets game and he promptly got shut down.
The stadium’s bullpen called the police to complain about the noise. Forty seven year old Nelson Hidalgo is no stranger to this special kind of celebrating and had previously only gotten a fine for his noise pollution. Only this time he managed to annoy a sports stadium with his party noise after having drowned out the roar of the spectators at the game.
His van drew in a big crowd and the NYPD spoiled the fun when they came through and Hidalgo was arrested for having eighty speakers in his vehicle. The whole time he had a beer in hand too.
“I know it’s illegal, but it’s the weekend.” Said Nelson
Reportedly all of the equipment in his van had set him back by $20 000. Therefore it is easy to understand why a reveller such as he would want to share it with his fellow New Yorkers.
His little concert happened at 10:45 PM on the intersection of 127th Street and 35th Avenue. Hidalgo was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal nuisance, general noise prohibition, disorderly conduct, and obstructing the driver’s view.
“How come I don’t get a ticket this time? I usually get a ticket or it gets thrown out, or I pay a little fee” explained the all American hero after he was arrested for having eighty speakers in his van.
Despite his long list of multiple charges, he was released without bail on the promise to return to court on the 1st of August 2016.
It obviously took the right people to call and complain in order to get the street party broken up. When the Mets bullpen calls the cops on you, you will get shut down. Nelson was arrested for having eighty speakers in his van and the Mets unfortunately lost that hometown game to the Atlanta Braves.
