Nine Inch Nails returns in 2016, according to a tweet by Trent Reznor.
New NIN coming in 2016. Other stuff, too.

Nine Inch Nails returns next year with new music, plus some other stuff which will be the first release after their last album ‘Hesitation Marks’ which came out in 2013.
In the time since the band has been on a short mini-hiatus, Trent Reznor has been busy with the film score for Gone Girl.
What is more, a Nine Inch Nails art book has been released too. Nine Inch Nails returns with new material and an art book titled ‘Cargo In The Blood’ which has been done in collaboration with the artist Russell Mills.
The book is a three hundred and twenty page limited edition collection of the work done for the band’s ‘Hesitation Marks’ album, which came out three years ago. Russell Mills is clearly a Nine Inch Nails favourite; he also is behind the artwork for ‘The Downward Spiral’.
Each volume of ‘Cargo In The Blood’ will include an original mixed media painting, made especially for the project by the artist.
Only two thousand copies will be sold, so it’s a first come first served thing over on the nin.com site. If you are interested in a copy it will set you back $300.
“Our renewed collaboration on Hesitation Marks very quickly suggested massive potential for the strange and the familiar to collide and collude in works that I hoped would encapsulate, by allusion, suggestion, metaphor and association, the conceptual ideas imbued in the album as well as in the undertow of its sonic world. I created a total of 30 pieces for Hesitation Marks and they chose Cargo In The Blood for the cover of the deluxe CD. The title seemed to sum up everything I’ve been working on for the last 5 – 10 years, this whole idea of something that can be carried in the blood and it could be good or bad, something that could be character-building, something that could be destructive, something that could be positive.” Says Russell Mills
Look out for the Nine Inch Nails return next year.
