New Spotify Free app to roll out globally soon, SA already has it
Spotify has just announced its new upgrade-Spotify Free App.
Earlier this month there was talk of a possible announcement for a “Spotify-run music player for your car.”
The company had set a date in New York for 24 April where they would make the announcement, though we could only speculate what it was about.
Now the truth has come out and although a Spotify-run music player would be amazing, its upgrade for the Spotify free tier is much better seeing as so many users utilise said tier.
Users can enjoy features such as:
-More personalised in discovering new music in a simpler way, from day one.
-Pick and Play allows users to enjoy 15 select Spotify playlists- letting you play songs in any order and skip as much as you like.
-Tell Spotify which artists/songs you like or dislike as you listen, which will further improve recommendations.
-Create your edit own playlists- Everyone’s dream.
-The Data Saver function that uses less data when listening to music. (YAY!)
Spotify SA all the way!
If these features sound familiar to you as a South African, that’s because we are already experiencing the upgrade.
When Spotify launched in SA last month, we were getting experience of new technology before anyone else.
We don’t even know how the free service used to be, but the free tier that we have now is incredibly personalised.
One can seamlessly hop from playlist to playlist, while discovering new music you never would have thought existed.
The new Spotify Free app rolls out globally soon, but SA already has it. 😊
